Re: Time for Norlog to die?

As a long time Norlog forum absentee, I must apologise for my lack of attendance. As I explained in a FB comment earlier today, I much prefer the forum as a means of keeping in touch with matters Norlog and, for that matter, Nyloc. I pledged in my FB post to keep a closer eye on Norlog.net and to t...

Re: Time for Norlog to die?

Personally I don’t think adding it as a sub forum in TLF is the answer, I can’t see anyone using it. With regards to side groups using what’s app I’m not aware of any other than Andy Smiths LDC one. Andy does organise some really good events and generally cross posts them to the Facebook group and ...

Re: Time for Norlog to die?

Of course not being a Lotus owner anymore i’m not sure I am allowed a comment but I still use this forum to send some messages and the odd post as I am not a regular user of faceache and don’t have the contact details of everyone. However it is quiet you cannot deny that but then again the FB page i...

Re: Looking to upgrade.

Ooh, out of interest, what TVR do you own Dave? My dad has a 350i which I have the pleasure of taking out for a spin on occasion! :P Rob Hi Rob My TVR owning days are along time gone now, I had a Wedge - 400SE - so the big brother of your dad's 350i. I loved it as it had such character, the noise w...

Re: Looking to upgrade.

Looks a great choice Lee :fantastic: I've taken the blame from a few people changing to V6's after taking them out in the Exige after I got it, they are a great machine and I bet the 430 takes it all the way up to 11 :) Great the TVR is still about, that will be a real future classic imo. All the be...

Re: Looking to upgrade.

The v6's are epic so definitely consider one if you can stretch your budget. I've just got into one from my supercharged Elise and haven't looked back. Hi Lee. Didn't know you had gone to a V6 and looking at the picture it is a special one :Headbanger: . Did you let the Elise go or did you keep it ...

Re: Looking to upgrade.

Why not go a step further and get even more grunt, my 2015 V6 Exige S is up for sale in the classifieds (shameless plug!) for not much more money than S2 Exige's are going for. 9500miles from new. bargain! - £36k. Personally I think this is the perfect solution. The newest S2's are now 10 years old...

Dave & Nelly,

Thank you very much for getting my username changed. Obviously this message confirms that I can log back in using the new name. Best not change my car anytime soon LOL.

Re: Searching for my first Elise- 1.6 a good bet?

I’d say the same as most cars, condition and history. Front suspension mounts and the general condition of the whole set up, any accident history especially at the front end due to the crash structure, side cills inside and out, signs of more wear & tear inside than outside, general condition of the...

Re: Searching for my first Elise- 1.6 a good bet?

Values are quite static overall. I read on SELOC recently that the 1.6’s were selling a grand or 2 above 12 months ago but that more in the early 20’s price range but at least it shows they are holding up well

Re: Searching for my first Elise- 1.6 a good bet?

As Nathan says, the 1.6 will need to be properly driven and you will get the full handling experience, sometimes less is more as you will really feel like you are driving it hard but still be at ‘acceptable’ speeds. However, you might soon get used to the performance and hanker for more. With that B...
