Re: Newbie shopping round for insurance!

Got her home late last night after picking her up from Will B and driving her the 180 miles back. It’s been 9 years and I genuinely forgot how beautifully raw these cars are. Got in the Audi afterwards and it felt like driving a jelly on wheels. She needs a good wash before I get some better photos...

Re: Your thoughts?

My thoughts are if you do not need the money right now, or even this year, is to sit tight and enjoy another year of fun with it. The values are quite solid and, whilst it might not grow much in value it should not decline much either (of course Brexit could change all of that but who knows what the...

Chris Neil’s are quoting £700 + VAT for replacement 🤔 Tough call, might just flip a coin 😁
Wow, that is a lot. Sounds a no brainer then

Hi Martin

Wow, a long time since you have been on here, great you are getting another Lotus soon :)

For insurance, try Matt at Henderson Taylor, he usually has good deals to offer.

Good luck and look forward to seeing pictures of the toy

I’d be well up for a 3 sisters karting do in some proper carts :driving:
We did a NORLOG one some years ago at 3 Sisters in the twin engined karts, epic fun

Remember there is Trax in Preston as well, also outdoors and twin engined karts. Very undulating track as well :)

Fair enough. 3 Sisters is great but as you say unpredictable due to the weather. Team Karting Rochdale is OK but that would be a trek for the Cumbria boys

Re: 2ubuar - early Xmas present

Lost contact with him again and no delivery yet! Somewhat pxxxxd off! Once I get it I'll do the honours. From what I read this is par for the course, I know Jono on here had to wait quite some time and make many calls to get his system. The good news is that most people rate them really highly once...

Re: 2ubuar - early Xmas present

Yes, you are correct. Jim is a sole trader literally. I was promised the system 3 weeks ago, given 2 shipping dates that didn't happen. Then it all went quiet. Couldn't raise him on the phone or by e-mail for 2 or 3 days. Thought he had gone bust. Seems he was in the Midlands at his supplier. Full ...

MoT for me today (passed obviously) mileage up slightly from last year.

1000 miles since last MoT, every one of them with a smile : )

Took the long way home given the excellent weather.
Makes mine seem like a solid effort. I feel happier now :P

MOT disappointment

Went in for the annual once over and looked at the miles from last years MOT, only 2300 and that included a 700 miles round trip to the Lotus 70 event at the factory :(

Really need to drive it more, must sort more events for 2019

It did pass fine though :)
