The Welsh runs were fantastic, miss that one for sure Another run in March 2015 Mein gott! Was it really 4 years ago last time i did a run with you lot? I remember that wet one because I couldn't keep up in the cold and damp, despite visibly trying. also the one Jason referred to with the scooby - ...

Re: paint blisters...big problem

I think Stephen m is the chap responsible for the (quite modified) S1 i saw on the m6 once. If so, his work is brilliant. The S1 in question is the one with the lights relocated, bigger arches etc - the lines were perfect. There's always plan b though - with Karl's Lightning McQueen off the road, wh...

Re: GTE for sale

This is a a big thing I don't get about rare factory cars. My old man used to have a 964 rs lightweight. It was rack at everything. It had 0 rebound damping, so country roads were horrid - more likely to bin it in a line than on a bend. It was too soft for the track. We stiffened it bybinning the fa...

Re: Xav doing the Race Of Remembrance, Anglesey -photos added

nice one Xav, that's a much better spread than say the Pro-Am split in GTE or LMP2. Not uncommon to see those boys at 5s/lap.
Longest track day session I've done was about 40 minutes at Cadwell, I was knackered after that! Doing a full on 2 hour slot must be quite a workout =)

Re: Xav doing the Race Of Remembrance, Anglesey -photos added

Sounds like an awesome time. Out of interest, how did your lap times fare vs your peers and over a stint? Did you get quicker as you got used to the car, or are the longer stints a proper test of endurance as concentration drops off? I'd love to do something like this, but suspect I'd be somewhat na...

Nice one Xav!

You've clearly got the speed - how long til you get into proper racing? I reckon it's a matter of time.. We'll buy Oggy a brolly and some spandex to be your grid girl if you go for it - it'll only cost 30 quid =)

Heads up - police crackdown on airport tunnels

Hi Norlog, Just a heads up - reports in MEN suggest that the local plod have decided that the best way to make Wilmslow's roads safer during rush hour is to hide in the pedestrian tunnel and send FPN's within 28 days in the post. I know most of you lot are quite sensible when it comes to appropriate...

3-eleven: officially one more than a 2-11?

Certainly not as pretty... But wow, what a set of numbers. 0-60 sub3? 456 horse? Under900kg? Will make one hell of a track weapon, ish... Because what i don't quite get is that is clearly too fast for a general track day, but whilst supremely awesome as a track day road car, presumably totally outdo...

Haha! Cheers John. I realise now that you are, in fact the bionic man! My club 10 PB is 28.01, and that was 2 years ago. This year, 29.58 is only one I've done - but then due to small child, I've only done 250 miles all in =( Great to see you're back in the saddle though, I remember grimacing quite ...

This weekend, I met Ben boulby, max Chiltern, Jan Mardenbrough, Harry Tinknell, Rob Barff, Graham Goodwin, John Hindhaugh, Lucasz Ordonez, Olivier Pla, and Darren cox. Got to visit the Nismo garage, then sat in the GTR LMP1. Was class!

Thanks to some top, top work by Karl, this happened... m STILL trying to black pit access from Strakka, but so far failing - if we can get past Le Marshall on the paddock gate, they'll invite us into their garage on thurs or fri - but the proper ticket to get past that marshal is 500 euros a head, a...

Oggy, you know I'm not a gambling man. However, we did see Pastor hit his team mate, and there is no prior evidence of spontaneous rear winf failure on 1 corner. If I was a betting man, I'd put short odds on some sort of rear wing / substantial object interface, possibly by something as unpredictabl...
