Re: Elise goes into Limp mode you turn off igniton then back on its fine

Re: Selling a car to a European

Following on from the above comments if it is cash do not handle the cash physically, you and the purchaser travel to your bank, go to the check in desk, explain to the 'cashier' that this person is purchasing your car by cash and you want the purchaser to pass over the cash to them so that it can b...

Re: Removable Momo fitted

I have a Momo with the flat bottom to the wheel so gives that little bit more clearance when climbing in The best thing about these steering wheels, and all detachable ones, is the more secure you feel your car is when you park up and leave it for a few hours ( especially with the soft top on) and y...

Re: What happened at Weekend??

Graham, 41 mph is not that difficult to hit, so is 25 mph average for an hour, ok I am not now in this level due to the injuries but a 25 mile time trial on the public road is down into the low 40 minutes practically all 25 mile tt's are won less than the hour, last week a 100 mile time trial was wo...

Re: What happened at Weekend??

Yes you can get done for speeding on a bike I have had many a fixed speed camera flash when I have gone through but have never been done - it is always a 'challenge' to trigger them and also with the 'you are doing Xmph' electronic signs In Richmond park they are having a campaign on cyclists and it...

Re: Going to Europe for 6 nights, any route recommendations?

A point to remember is in Europe, and especially France, its is illegal to use a speed camera detector there are many recordings of you being removed from your car, car impounded, very heavy fines and also cars having to be transported by truck out of France. Even if you have the detector in the car...

Re: Radar detector

Mine is the 3Zero

Though never used one if I was to buy a satnav for use with the Lotus (my main car has got an inbuilt satnav) I would buy a Snooper satnav for they have built all the detector software into their satnavs

Re: Radar detector

yes works very well with mobile vans etc for the detector unit picks up on the 'gun' / signal scatter - ie the signal element that does not bounce back to the police detector. So any active unit is sensed. As per earlier response the Snooper you can set up your preference for picking up signals / sc...

Re: Radar detector

glad info useful other useful outputs from the Snooper are the advance warnings like 'Gatso 250mtr' then 'Gatso 200mtr' 150 / 100 / 0 with the GPS it is usually not more than 10 / 20 mtrs out also if SPECS in the area it warns 'SPECS camera 50mph' so warns of this all the time you are in the SPEC ar...
