Re: So, I’ve gone to the dark side !!

That's a great choice Dave, Spyder is a proper thing with all the best bits and a superb (proper Porsche) engine :D

Pretty rare too so should hold its value well. :Ok2:

Look forward to seeing (and hearing) it!

Re: Today I waved her off!

:jaw: :jaw: :jaw: shocked! Is it April 1st? Or maybe it was just "blue Monday" which caused it

Always enjoyed trying to keep up with the blue beast Dave so it's a real shame you're considering the dark side.

I'm sure you'll see the light when the Spring arrives ;)

Re: Lotus 1/10th RC cars

Nice one Andy, brings back good memories seeing that XLS. I won both the Yorkshire RC club championship (1989 I think) & Aire Valley Buggy club championship with one of those!! I've still got a box full of bits and planned on doing a similar build myself one of these days. If you raced in the past I...

Re: Cheap V6 Exige

Yes I'm definitely considering a change. 7 year itch I think :D Jon Seal has just today listed a black 2014 Roadster with 22k miles for 33995.... Makes the yellow Oakmere car look expensive now (and my Mrs isn't a fan of yellow so got to keep her on-side ;)) Quite like to see the black roadster but ...

Cheap V6 Exige

Not decided what I'm doing yet (or even if I'm thinking of changing at all!) but this looks like a hell of a bargain for someone!

Re: Barbon Hillclimb - 7th July. Anyone going?

Last time I went to Barbon in my old 911 I almost got beached getting into the car park! It's a long time ago and it could well be fine now but worth bearing in mind for those with low fronts/splitters. Don't know if you've ever been to Harewood Dave but worth making the trip over there for a good h...

Re: It's that time of year again

Having had to claim from Hastings and it being a particular painful experience dealing with them I'd strongly recommend renewing with a different company! Esure were the cheapest for me but I wanted track cover so went with REIS in the end.

I spotted it being driven enthusiastically up the A50 towards Knutsford on Friday.. looked and sounded very racey indeed! Was tempted to go over to CN's this weekend but fear that white V6 Exige might still be there, and the want is so strong I might not be able to leave the showroom :D

Welcome Keirik! Nice rare colour you had there, not surprised you regretted selling it. Good luck in finding a suitable replacement, there doesn't seem to be much out there on the used market at the moment.

Re: Oakmere '2018 Season Starter' Breakfast Meet - Sunday Feb 25th

Again as per the above, a big thanks to the Oakmere guys for a great morning! The turnout was excellent, nice variety of cars to see and it was great to catch up with everyone after a long boring winter. My daughter Katie was very impressed with the new Elise which Steve kindly let me take out (she ...

Re: Did anyone get any ‘Lotus’ time this weekend??

Hi Dave, I met that bunch of guys we did that "run" to Hassop with last year. Bumped into Jaik which was good for a quick catch up but then proceeded on a short run (up the motorway yawn) to a Cars & Coffee type meeting at Trafford Park. I didn't actually realise this until I got there, really not m...

Re: paint blisters...big problem

Mike, before I bought my 111R I contacted TrackVRoad in Clitheroe to get some history on it, as they'd supplied it to the guy I bought it off and looked after it during his ownership. They told me the rear clam and both doors had been repainted before they put the car up for sale due to blistering. ...

Big thanks to the Oakmere team for arranging this and providing great bacon butties! The weather did it's best to put people off but it was still a good turnout. Great to catch up with everyone too :Friends:

You may have also seen me around, red s2 in somerford.
Welcome! I see a few passing through HC now and again but people use it as a cut-through from the M6 always difficult to know who's local and not.
