Cornering Techniques - incl offsiding

Post by ANWAG » Sat Mar 26, 2016 12:30 pm

Worth having a look at this video by Reg Local an ex Grade 1 Police Driver. He's tackling the A4212 north of Bala in north Wales. Its one of the roads the GMPolice use for driver training. I'm going to have a run over it shortly. Note the offsiding techniques for LH corners. Be very careful if you attempt it and get out well before the left hand corner for an early view. 'Early vision early decision'. He does one on manual gear changing too that is worth watching. Will help to really get a smooth change up and down the box.

Thanks for that Andy, good post and very informative. I'll be watching his other posts and getting myself down to Wales to sample the roads.

Hi Andy,
Very interesting information, thanks for the link, not seen them.
I did the A4212 with Oggy and the gang in December, but very wet. Nice road to add after the Evo triangle..
Did the same run again with my Jane in the dry, is a great road. Now need to watch the Youtube and do it again :-)
