Going to view s3 sc in Plymouth this Monday.
What I could do with if anybody can help is to be shown what to look out for and look at when looking at an actual car if somebody can show me on Sunday please. And be a passenger in one if possible(got to be cheeky) as this is my hopefully very first lotus. And yes I know should be dipping my toes with something less powerful first.
Touring and sports pack.
To say I'm excitied is an understatement. Yes I'll take photos if and when and post on here.
Seen two of you owners.
One in Holmes chapel, lives left hand side on the ex longest ave in the UK
One in congleton, lower Heath, on the rat run road

Welcome to norlog. That's a fair old jaunt I hope it all goes ok. Not that up on the s3's but it's a Toyota engine so there should be no issues there, the main thing is to make sure there is no damage to the alloy chassis, suspension points are the main place to look. Some S2's had paint issues not so sure on the S3's the paint would bubble something to do with the fibreglass not curing properly before they we're painted. Is it a private sale or trader you are buying from. There's a meet coming up at the beginning of the month so hopefully we will see you there in your new pride and joy if not come anyway for inspiration. Keep an eye on the meets section. Good luck and keep us updated.
brexit or not i'm still going

Welcome
They aren't a bad bunch in this place, will be good to see you beginning of Sept. with or without the Lotus.
AS Oggy says regarding chassis etc. usual general car buying stuff to look at. Depending on age, check the MoT history and advisories if any ( doubt there is though ). If its at a dealer it should be sound - if private sale do you have a link to the ad ? No doubt someone on SELOC would know the car, which helps.
Good luck with the viewing

Welcome! I see a few passing through HC now and again but people use it as a cut-through from the M6 always difficult to know who's local and not.
